Every CabinSmiths re-stain job includes caulking and chinking repair as needed, but we also offer inspections for extensive replacement of chinking.

The CabinSmiths is family owned and operated. Our workers are either skilled family employees or highly qualified team members who regularly work with us and know our standard operating procedures. We do not subcontract our restoration, repair and maintenance work to other companies. Learn more about who we are, and how we started, through our About Us page.

Our estimates are free. We have a contract designed to protect both parties. Unlike most log home repair and restoration specialists, we require only 30% down and a signed contract in order to claim your place in our seasonal schedule. Any change orders after the contract has been signed will be formally written and added to the contract so that you are protected and the work is assured. The balance of the contract, plus any change orders, is due upon completion.

The CabinSmiths did a great job on our log home in Seven Devils, NC. They washed, cleaned, repaired, caulked, filled holes, replaced logs, applied new stain, and cleaned and stained our wood porches. We had to reschedule, once due to Hurricane Helene (!) and twice due to rainy spring weather. It was never their fault. They showed up when they said they would and always double checked to make sure everything was done properly and nothing was missed. They were polite, professional, and never left a mess. The cost was less than two other estimates we received. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for log home maintenance. Also, the communication with them was always prompt and courteous. Very satisfied!
